I've long touted the benefits of naps. I regularly take a nap after work and it has proven quite refreshing after a long day. More to the point, during the heady days of thesis writing naps were an essential part of the process as by the middle of the afternoon my brain was feeling a bit mushy. Just a twenty or thirty minute nap can keep you going for a lot longer than something like an energy drink can. It's just a matter of letting the body and the mind rest for a moment.
